The paintings that resulted from my Impressionist painters study
Learning from the great Impressionist artists was a challenge, however it greatly improved my confidence and have some work to show that Im proud of too.

I am excited about this exhibition, it’s been two years in the planning, well postponed due to covid. But finally, it is all organised for the 9th June 2022 and there’s only a month to go.
The countryside, seascapes, landscapes, sunsets and sunrises are so beautiful. LucyD finds that she connects with the surroundings spiritually, saying, ‘seeing and experiencing this scenery like being at one with the earth” needless to say, this is her inspiration for her paintings.
It was so beautiful and poetic, where the sea and the sky kissed, with a shimmer of white across the horizon, blurring the distance into one big vista. You did not know when the sea stopped and the sky began.
Needless to say, it was a scenario I need to paint. The sky still glowed and the setting sun was catching the tops of the grasses which made them glow iridescently, which I wanted to capture in my painting.
