About

Cove hopping in Pembrokeshire is a favourite pastime on mine when I’m in Pembroke that is. This Idyllic little cove is seriously easy to miss if you don’t know it’s there. It’s a fairly steep clamber down the path but to have te cove to ones self is just amazing. BTW Temby is in the distance.

Heather Hills

Heather Hills

Impressionist – Landscape

About this painting

Just five minutes fr my house is the picturesque view that is the Waldridge Fells. It’s one of the last Heathlands in the UK and thankfully protected. The sweet smell of heather is intoxicating, and the multitude of bill berries that grow there make the most scrumptious jams.

Lone Birch

Lone Birch

Impressionist – Landscape

About this painting

This is not more than a 5-minute walk from my house, looking East from Waldridge Fell to Sunderland. And whilst there are many Silver birch trees on the fells, this one stands proud on its own, defiant of the fire that ravaged this fellside, not that long ago.

Infinity Horizon

Infinity Horizon

About

I was on the Pembrokeshire coast, visiting Strumble Head when I looked out to sea. The view was captivating from the cliff tops and was and very hot summer day and all I could see was nothing. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of Ireland, but alas no. Then I noticed the weirdest of things, the waves moving in two slightly different directions. Were these the ocean
currents I was witnessing? there was not a cloud in the sky but with I being so very hot I want to get an Ice cream. It was the Ice cream that influenced the colours of the sky. and have always thought this would look lovely in an Ice cream parlour.

New Horizons

About this artwork

Painted from a dream I had, my life was quite troubled at the time of painting this, and the sky represents that trouble, however, I knew the trouble would end and life would be easier and so the horizon and tree represent that journey I need to embark on.

One man and his dog

One man and his dog

About this pating

The is Waldridge fell looking out towards Stanley. It was late, the sun had all but gone. The clouds backlit and the top of the grasses aglow with the last moments of the sun. I was admiring the view when a man and his loyal friend came walking by. Who knows why he was walking out so late, perhaps he had just finished work, but one thing was clear he loved his friend and was looking after them. You could hardly see the path ahead but he was still there heading out onto the Fells. I knew I just had to paint this scene.
